Domestic abuse

Domestic abuse can affect anybody, regardless of their gender, age, race, sexuality or social background - and is never acceptable.

Domestic abuse means any incident of threatening behaviour, violence or abuse (psychological, physical, sexual, financial or emotional), between adults aged 16 and over who are or have been intimate partners, or are family members.

Domestic abuse can affect anybody, regardless of their gender, age, race, sexuality or social background. Domestic Abuse is never acceptable and is a crime that Surrey Police take very seriously. We are committed to protecting the lives of both adult and child victims of domestic abuse. We will investigate all reports of domestic abuse effectively, to bring offenders to justice where possible and hold them accountable for their actions. We work closely with our partner agencies to prevent and reduce domestic abuse.

You can report domestic abuse to us by calling 101 or anonymously through CrimeStoppers online or calling on 0800 555 111. In an emergency always dial 999.
