Appeal for witnesses after attack in Woking

19 Oct, 2018 15:54 News Witness Appeals

We are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked in the Wych Hill area of Woking earlier today (October 19).

The incident happened around 8.20am when it’s reported that a man in a car was attacked by two other men and suffered cuts to his arm.
Two white men, in their late 20s or early 30s, then left the area in a black or grey coloured vehicle.

He was taken to hospital and has since been released.

Detective Sergeant Nicky Gardner said:

“This assault was a serious one and could have been far worse as we believe at least one of the attackers had a knife with him. Although this may cause concern I would like to reassure the community that we are working on the basis that this wasn’t a random attack and that those involved are known to each other.

“What we need from the public is more information about the attackers. If anyone saw what happened, please get in touch by calling 101 or using report.police.uk and quote the reference number PR/45180111711.

“Alternatively if you don’t want to talk to a police officer you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.”
