Appeal to identify man in connection with Epsom bus assault
Officers are appealing for help in identifying a man following a violent assault which started on a bus in Epsom.
At 2.20pm on Tuesday, 6 November, an unknown man boarded the bus at the Epsom clock tower stop on the High Street. As he had no means to pay, the driver asked the man to leave, which quickly escalated into an argument.
Investigating officer, PC Gregg Marshall of Epsom & Ewell Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This was a violent and unprovoked assault, which has resulted in a man sustaining facial injuries and a dislocated shoulder.
“We need the public’s help to identify this man, as he may be able to assist with our enquiries. He’s described as white, around 5 feet 10 inches tall, with mousey hair and was wearing a green tracksuit. If you were the member of public who intervened, please make contact with us.”
