Can you help following racially aggravated common assault in Byfleet?
Can you help - we are investigating an allegation of racially aggravated common assault following a collision in Byfleet yesterday (25 February).
The incident took place at the main traffic light junction by the church in Parvis Road between 10 and 10.30am.
The victim, who was driving a black Volkswagen Golf, was heading towards Byfleet when another vehicle, a white Chevrolet, came up behind and tried to undertake, causing the vehicles to make contact with each other. Both vehicles pulled over at the side of the road.
The suspect refused to provide his details and has allegedly verbally abused the victim before pushing him to the ground and kicking him.
The suspect is described as white, around 50 years, 5ft 9 tall, of a stocky build with a balding head and ginger stubble around the sides. He spoke with a South African accent and was wearing a dark green top and jeans.
A number of people were driving past at the time and we would like to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened.
