Can you help us identify the men in CCTV images?
Officers have released CCTV images of some men they would like to speak to in connection with a serious assault in Epsom.
The incident took place at the junction of Waterloo Road and the High Street after the victim had left the Boogie Lounge with his friends at around 1am on Saturday, 25 March.
It is reported that the victim, a man in his 30s, was attacked from behind whilst he walked round the corner into the High Street. He was struck to the mouth and taken to the ground.
A group of men, described as being black, were seen to leave the scene heading in the direction of the Clock Tower.
The victim sustained a broken jaw which required surgery, the removal of a wisdom tooth and the insertion of a metal plate.
Detective Constable Eloise Lock, from East Surrey CID, said: “The victim had enjoyed a good night our clubbing with his friends before sustaining a broken jaw in this unprovoked attack.
“Surrey Police does not tolerate this type of behaviour and we need the public’s help to find those responsible and bring them to justice.
“I would like to hear from the men shown in the CCTV images as we believe they may be able to provide vital information to assist with this ongoing investigation.
“Similarly, I would urge anyone who recognises them or has any information which could help identify and locate them to call 101 quoting reference 45170031491.”
