11 Dec, 2017 16:21 Witness Appeals

Surrey Police is appealing for the public’s help in identifying the two men in this CCTV footage.

Officers believe these two men might have information which could help them establish how a 36-year-old man ended up in the middle of the road with critical injuries in the early hours of Saturday 25 November.

At around 5am the 36-year-old was found unconscious lying in the middle of Miller Place Road off Sherwood Way in Epsom by a member of public. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

Detective Sergeant Errol Chetty from East Surrey Criminal Investigation Department, said: “This CCTV is from a house not far from where the man was found injured and we think the two men in this video may have seen or heard something which could help us establish how this man sustained such serious injuries.

“If you know who these two potential witnesses are or if this is you in the CCTV image please get in touch with us as soon as possible.

"Alternatively if you were around the area of Sherwood Way or Horton Lane in Epsom between midnight and 5:30am on Sat 25 Nov, and saw or heard anything please call Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference 45170131251.

"You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
