20 Nov, 2017 15:26 News Witness Appeals

We are appealing for your help to identify the person under the motorbike helmet in connection with a robbery at the Coral bookmakers on Chessington Road, Ewell on Saturday (18 November) evening.

The suspect, believed to be a man, entered the bookmakers at around 5pm, wearing a high visibility vest, white trainers, balaclava and a bike helmet with the visor down. They also had a black bag which they were wearing diagonally across their body, and they believed to have been carrying a hatchet.

This was a frightening ordeal for the people who were in the bookmakers at the time, as the suspect demanded money from the till. The shop is located on a busy parade of shops on the outskirts of Epsom town, and Ewell village, perhaps you saw something suspicious?

We are not sure how the suspect got to the bookmakers, from their choice of outfit this could have been by motorbike, however, this may not be the case. If you were in the area, please can you review any CCTV or dash cam footage?
