CCTV released in connection with Epsom town centre assault

Officers from the East Surrey CID are appealing for information regarding a man they would like to trace in connection with an assault in Epsom.

An unconscious man with serious facial injuries was found on the ground by officers at around 12.55am on Saturday, 8 April. It is reported that he was attacked in the High Street near to the Clock Tower. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

Detective Constable Eloise Lock, said, “We have released these CCTV images as part of the ongoing investigation into the circumstances of this incident.

“We are extremely keen to hear from anyone who recognises the man in the images as he may be able to provide valuable information which could help piece together the events surrounding the incident.

“I would urge anyone who either saw him in the area or who knows who he is to call 101. If you wish to remain anonymous the independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111.

“Similarly, anyone who saw what happened during the early hours of Saturday morning on the 8th of April who has not already spoken to police should get in touch.”
