Police in Godalming would like to hear from anyone who saw an assault in the High Street on Wednesday afternoon outside Boots the Chemist.

It appears that at least two teenage boys assaulted another teenager outside the chemist around 4.30pm on 15 March. The victim was punched and kicked causing cuts to his lip and eye and redness and swelling to his face. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

PC Mike Patey said: “There were lots of people out shopping at the time of this incident and we are appealing to anyone who saw anything to contact us so we can further our investigation. In particular, we’d like to speak to a woman who was standing very close to the assault with her children.”

Anyone with information should call Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference number 45170026776. You can also use the online reporting system found at and enter the reference number in the ‘Additional information' section.
