Did you see suspected arson attack in Byfleet?

Officers are appealing for information following an arson attack on a vehicle in Byfleet overnight.

In the early hours of today (Wednesday, 19 April), a vehicle was set alight at a property in Caillard Road.

Officers were called to the scene at around 1am after reports of a loud bang.

Damage was also caused to the front of the house, windows and the roof as the car was parked on the driveway. The occupants of the house escaped from the property uninjured.

Detective Sergeant James Ansell said, “We are investigating this incident as an arson attack. If you saw or heard anything in the early hours of this morning, please call 101. Further house to house enquiries are taking place today and we urge anyone with information to come forward.”
