We are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was assaulted in West Byfleet.

At around 7pm on Sunday, 2 December, four men were in The Yeoman Harvester on Old Woking Road when three of the men left and travelled by car to an unknown location. An altercation between them then broke out and one of the men was threatened and assaulted.

The same man was thrown out the vehicle which then drove off, he called the police who found him on the A3 near the Chessington slip road.

An investigation into the incident is underway and we are now looking to hear from anyone who saw the men at the Harvester, the vehicle travelling at any point or the assault.

  • White, short, spikey and light brown/ginger hair, around 5 ft 8 inches tall, of a slimmer build and wearing a Superdry coat.

A 28-year-old man from Chessington was arrested on suspicion of kidnap and grievous bodily harm. He was released from custody under investigation.
