Fresh CCTV in connection with jewellery theft in Caterham

Surrey Police are keen to identify this man who could have information about a burglary at Infinity Jewellers in Caterham on Tuesday, 9 May.

Officers attended the jewellery shop on Church Walk just after 4am that morning. The door and windows of the displays were smashed and high value gold, diamonds and emeralds were stolen.

DC Shirley, who is investigating the incident, said: “We urgently need to speak with this individual as we believe he may be able to help us with our enquiries.

“A large amount of jewellery was stolen, so if anyone tries to sell you jewellery and you are suspicious of the circumstances then I’d encourage you to call us straight away.

"Anyone with information should call Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference number 45170047800. You can also use the online reporting system found at https://report.police.uk/ and enter the reference number in the ‘Additional information' section.

"Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
