Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses after two collisions on Portsmouth Road (between Cliffe Road and Eashing Lane), Godalming at around 5.30pm this evening.

The rider of the bicycle (a male in his 50's) was taken to St George's Hospital in Tooting by air ambulance with injuries that are thought to be life changing. The driver of the Mazda (a female in her 80's) was also taken to St George's Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Audi is not thought to have been injured.

The road is expected to remain closed until around 10.30pm while the vehicles are recovered and the collision investigation unit carry out their work.

Officers are trying to understand what happened and are keen to speak to anyone who saw the incident, or may have seen any of the vehicles involved immediately before the collisions.

Anyone who saw the incident, or may have dashcam footage from the time and location of the collision, is asked to call the Surrey Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01483 639922 or the 101 non-emergency number, quoting reference P17093190.
