Two suffer serious injuries following collision in Charlton – did you see what happened?
We are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Charlton last night (Sunday, 7 January) left two people seriously injured.
Officers were called to Charlton Road just after 10:40pm following reports of a collision involving four vehicles near to the junction with Crosswell Close. A white Fiat 500, silver VW golf and dark coloured BMW were involved in the collision which also caused damaged to an additional parked vehicle.
Two drivers (a woman in her 50s and a man in his 20s) were both taken to hospital to receive treatment for their serious injuries.
Sergeant Jamie Dann from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit who is investigating the circumstances of the collision said:
‘If anyone was in the area around this time last night and saw anything that could help us to piece together what happened, particularly if you were driving in the area and could have dash-cam footage, please get in touch with us.’
Three men have been arrested following the incident, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road traffic collision.
