Witness appeal after assault and robbery in West Molesey

We are appealing for witnesses following a robbery and assault that took place on the tow path behind Buckingham Gardens, West Molesey between 4.50pm and 5.30pm on Monday, 2 July.

The victim was sat on his bike by a bench talking to some friends on the tow path when he was approached by a group of 5 men. After a brief verbal interaction the men assaulted the victim and took his bike and his bag.

The victim later attended hospital. None of his injuries are life threatening.

One man is described as black, 5ft 8”, skinny build, wearing a black hoody and jeans.
The second man is described as dark, 5ft 10”, skinny build, wearing a white top with blue jeans.
The third man is described as white, 6ft 3, topless and wearing jeans.
The fourth man is described as white, 6ft, large build, blonde hair, topless and wearing shorts.
The fifth man is described as white, 5ft 7”, skinny build, short black hair, wearing a Nike bag and black tracksuit bottoms.

The victim’s bike is black with white/light grey writing on the side.
